Exhibitions

At the Annual Dinner on 5 June 2009 Lord Brooks announced that a permanent display of WSHF memorabilia will be situated at the Millennium Stadium and eventually form part of the Stadium tour.  He thanked the Welsh Rugby Union, the Welsh Assembly, the National Museum of Wales and the media (particularly the Wales on Sunday newspaper) for their assistance in this significant development.

The Minister for Heritage had previously commented

'The Welsh Sports Hall of Fame collection is a unique one and I would like to see more of the collection available for the people of Wales to view. I've agreed that the Welsh Assembly Government will assist the trustees of the Hall of Fame in developing a business case to apply for lottery funding, and also advise them on digitisation of  articles from the collection. We will also explore other ways in which we can work together.'

In the past, WSHF has cooperated with the National Portrait Gallery, London in its exhibition of British Sporting Heroes (1998/99) and the Sports Council for Wales at the Royal Welsh Show (2004).

Recently some relevant items were loaned to Cardiff Council for the Cardiff Centenary Exhibition (2005) and the Cardiff Sporting Heroes exhibition (2007).
